Imagine

You’ve heard of reframing.  You know you should expect best case scenario instead of worst-case scenario. Think positively. All that jazz.

But how hard is that to really do??  How do you just switch your brain off from its default setting? I know, I have been there too.

It’s pretty flipping hard. Forget glass half full, your glass is milliseconds away from launching itself from the counter and somehow you should think positively??

But we all deserve to believe in ourselves enough to take the chance anyway. And when that one step feels hard perhaps letting our mind drift into imagination is all we need to take that first scary step.

Imagine what it would feel like if you did do it? Whatever IT you are aspiring towards.

All the emotions which would go through your body- giddiness, happiness, that adrenaline rush, the sting in your eyes from the sheer happiness. All the thoughts which would caress your mind – “I am so proud of myself”, “I can’t believe I made it”, “If I did this what more could I possibly achieve”.

For a few seconds – let yourself change the narrative that comes after what if.

Let yourself imagine.

  • Imagine you meet someone better for you, who gives you clarity, shows up fully and chooses you without hesitation
  • Imagine you become stronger at the gym
  • Imagine you build healthy sustainable eating habits which lets you enjoy food
  • Imagine you become so much more disciplined in your habits and routines. They ground you instead of draining you
  • Imagine your skin becomes clearer and your energy returns
  • Imagine you get that promotion you worked so hard towards
  • Imagine your cooking turns out so good people scramble in for seconds
  • Imagine you walk through the doors of your dream home
  • Imagine you start that business and it turns into a successful brand
  • Imagine that it turns out you love moving your body through walking, dancing, yoga, running and even pilates
  • Imagine those paintings, drawings, the cross stitching all turn out beautiful
  • Imagine that they also like you
  • Imagine finally booking that solo trip and proving to yourself there is nothing you should hold yourself back from
  • Imagine walking into a room filled with confidence – not the loud and arrogant kind but the quiet belief that you belong there
  • Imagine reaching out to that friend/ family member you miss and when you catch up with them it is like nothing ever changed
  • Imagine earning money from something which lights you up
  • Imagine negotiating your worth and getting a yes without hesitation
  • Imagine not wondering what you mean to them because they show you, tell you and choose you
  • Imagine passing that exam, finishing that course or qualification -the same one which once seemed impossible

Imagine giving your story a chance.
